Teaching Approach

There  are  a  number  of  different  skills  that  need  to  be  developed  in  the  student  for  the  effective  learning  of  Music  to  take  place.  The  way  in  which  these  skills  develop  is  different  for  every  individual,  and  therefore  a  different  strategy  is  required  for  each  student.

Students  are taught to  read  and  carefully  observe  the  music  score.  The  development  of  the  ear  is  vitally  important  to  ensure  that  the  student  can  effectively  hear  the  music  they  are  producing.  The  student  needs  to  understand  the  stylistic  requirements  of  each  piece  that  they  perform.  Good  technical  development  is  essential  to  ensure  that  the  student's  progress  is  not  impeded  by  an  inability  to  execute  what  is  required.

Above  all,  students are encouraged to  love  and  appreciate  for  both  the  music  they  perform  and  music  in  general.

Singers

A  number  of  different  services  are offered to  singers.  They are taught  singing  up  to Master of Music level.  Special services are offered  as  an  accompanist  and  also advice  on  musical  and  stylistic  interpretation are provided. Beyond  that  level,  various vocal  production  techniques can be offered,

As a singer, if  you  are  preparing  for  an  audition  or  any  other  type  of  performance, also  a  recording  accompaniment  to  rehearse  with, can be provided.  If  you  want  a  recording  of  yourself  singing  with  accompaniment,  a  professional  standard  of  recording  from  studio, can be provided.

So singers are requested to  contact  the school or the musician himself  to  discuss  how  he  can  assist  them.

Music Theory Students

The full   theory  of Indian classical music  up  to  and  including Master of Music   level is taught.  A  good  knowledge  of  theory  is  essential  to  ensure  a  sound  understanding  and  the  effective  performance  of  music.   Whether  you  are  looking  to  prepare  for  an  exam,  or  you  simply  wish  to  improve  your  knowledge  about  this  subject  in  a  less  formal  way.
